What did two Montreal wrestlers and two redneck brothers have in common?

Kevin and Sami’s ROH career kicks into high gear when they come back in 2007 and score a match with Jay and Mark Briscoe on the brothers’ way to winning the tag championships. You might think that the French- and Syrian-Canadian pair would have little in common with the chicken-raising Delaware brothers, but at the deepest level, the two tag teams were driven by similar motivations. They were both trying to find a stronger sense of character exactly when they were thrown together in 2007, and the result was magic.

Chapter 8 of Fight Forever, “Man Up,” digs into Kevin and Sami’s feud with the Briscoes and their absolutely wild and bloody brawls that culminated in ROH’s first ladder match. I’m thrilled to report that copy-editing of the manuscript is coming along well and we’re starting to move toward a possible release date in the fall!
